Publication Process 

The International Journal of Current Research in Pharmacy (IJCRP) follows a transparent, rigorous, and ethical publication process to ensure the quality, originality, scientific validity, and integrity of published research. 

1. Manuscript Submission 

Authors submit their original manuscripts through the official IJCRP online submission system. Manuscripts must be prepared according to the IJCRP Author Guidelines and must comply with the journal's publication ethics and research integrity requirements. 

Authors must confirm that the manuscript is original, has not been published previously, is not under consideration elsewhere, and has been approved by all contributing authors. 

2. Initial Editorial Screening 

Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to assess its: 

  • Suitability for the journal's scope 
  • Compliance with submission requirements 
  • Scientific and academic presentation 
  • Completeness of author information 
  • Ethical declarations 
  • Conflict-of-interest and funding information 

Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected before peer review. 

3. Similarity and Research Integrity Check 

Manuscripts may undergo similarity screening using appropriate plagiarism-detection tools. 

IJCRP does not determine plagiarism solely on the basis of a fixed similarity percentage. Similarity reports are evaluated by the editorial team in context, considering the source and nature of the overlap. 

Manuscripts involving plagiarism, duplicate publication, substantial unattributed copying, data fabrication, falsification, or other research-integrity concerns may be rejected or investigated according to the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy. 

4. Editorial Assessment 

Manuscripts passing the initial screening are assessed by an editor for originality, scientific significance, methodological quality, relevance to the journal's scope, ethical compliance, and suitability for external peer review. 

The editor may reject manuscripts that are outside the scope of IJCRP or do not meet the journal's minimum scholarly standards. 

5. External Peer Review 

Manuscripts considered suitable for review are evaluated by qualified and independent external reviewers with relevant subject expertise. 

IJCRP uses an appropriate anonymized peer-review process to support objective and unbiased assessment. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's originality, methodology, scientific validity, results, interpretation, references, ethical considerations, and overall contribution. 

Primary research articles published by IJCRP are subject to external peer review. This is an important component of the journal's commitment to rigorous scholarly evaluation. 

6. Editorial Decision 

Following peer review, the editor evaluates the reviewers' reports and makes an editorial decision. 

The possible decisions are: 

  • Accept 
  • Minor Revision 
  • Major Revision 
  • Reject 

Reviewer recommendations are advisory, and the final decision is made by the authorized editor. 

7. Revision 

When revisions are required, authors must submit a revised manuscript together with a point-by-point response addressing the reviewers' and editor's comments. 

The revised manuscript may be returned to the original reviewers or evaluated by additional reviewers when necessary. 

8. Final Acceptance 

A manuscript is accepted only when the editor is satisfied that the scientific, editorial, and ethical requirements of IJCRP have been met. 

Acceptance is based on the quality and suitability of the manuscript and is not influenced by commercial considerations or the author's institutional affiliation. 

9. Copyediting and Production 

Accepted manuscripts proceed to the production stage, which may include: 

  • Copyediting 
  • Language checking 
  • Reference verification 
  • Formatting 
  • Figure and table checking 
  • Typesetting 
  • Article metadata preparation 

Authors may be contacted during production if clarification is required. 

10. Author Proofreading 

The corresponding author receives the article proof for final verification. 

Authors are expected to carefully check the title, author names, affiliations, figures, tables, references, and other important article information before publication. 

11. DOI and Metadata 

Following final approval, article metadata is finalized and a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is assigned where applicable. 

Published article metadata will include appropriate bibliographic information such as: 

Title | Authors | Affiliations | Abstract | Keywords | Publication Date | Volume | Issue | Article/Page Information | DOI | References 

The journal aims to maintain accurate and consistent metadata to support scholarly discovery and citation. 

12. Online Publication 

After completion of production and final author approval, the article is published online on the official IJCRP website. 

The publication date is recorded as part of the article's permanent scholarly record. 

13. Indexing and Archiving 

IJCRP is committed to maintaining accurate article metadata and developing appropriate digital preservation and scholarly discovery arrangements. 

The journal may apply for inclusion in recognized indexing and abstracting services when the journal meets their respective requirements. 

IJCRP will not claim inclusion in Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed, DOAJ, or any other indexing service unless official inclusion has been confirmed by the respective organization. 

14. Post-Publication 

The journal maintains the integrity of the published scholarly record after publication. 

Where necessary, IJCRP may publish: 

  • Corrections 
  • Errata 
  • Corrigenda 
  • Expressions of Concern 
  • Retractions 

Such actions are handled transparently in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics and Malpractice Policy. 

15. Appeals and Complaints 

Authors may appeal an editorial decision when they believe that a significant error or procedural issue has affected the decision. 

The journal also accepts complaints relating to: 

  • Editorial conduct 
  • Peer review 
  • Publication ethics 
  • Authorship 
  • Conflicts of interest 
  • Research integrity 
  • Publication procedures 

Appeals and complaints are handled according to the journal's Appeals and Complaints Policy.
